A few months ago Architectural Digest featured revered architect Charles Gwathmey’s final project before his untimely death in 2010.  Gwathmey had worked on a beautiful congregation of white pavilions on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Bart’s. Parquet Flooring Styles are Back in Fashion

Chêne de l'Est Distressed Oak product line assembled in a parquet fashion.

The definition of “parquet”, for many people, is probably not too clear, and probably something they heard their parents talking about. But lately the term has been resurfacing, for very good reasons.

So what IS parquet? Many people in the U.S. who have heard of parquet flooring are either interested in interior design or basketball fans. One of the most famous parquet floors in the country was, until recently, being constantly battered by the Boston Celtics in the Boston Garden. Beautiful, wide-plank flooring soon to be available from Premier Flooring Solutions

Premier Flooring Solutions is proud to introduce our newest and exclusive product line, Chene de l’Est. Chene de l’Est, a French flooring company, was established in 1960 in eastern France by Joseph Bach, an artisan carpenter of his time.  The company grew from a tiny workshop and evolved into a family business.  Today, Bach’s four children run Chene de l’Est, which now specializes in the production of beautiful solid hardwood flooring with master finishes.

Premier Flooring Solutions has been looking into adding a French Oak to the product line for quite some time, and were fortunate to have an investment bank in New York put us in touch with Chene de l’Est, who was, as fate would have it, looking into expanding its product into the United States market.  After several meetings with the Chene de l’Est owners and an April trip to tour the main factory in France, Premier Flooring Solutions has now secured exclusive distribution rights for Chene de l’Est products in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada.

Premier Flooring Solutions is very excited to be carrying this exclusive brand of high-quality, finely crafted French hardwood flooring.  Keep following our blog for more updates in the very near future about this exciting addition to Premier Flooring Solutions’ product line.
