Luxury hotels across the nation are remodeling their rooms to boost their appeal to travelers. Too often, hotel patrons complain that rooms are too cramped, too dark, or just not comfortable enough. To rectify this, hotels have picked up an ever-growing trend of eradicating old carpet and installing hardwood flooring in their rooms.
Hardwood flooring provides an elegant touch to any room, and also adds the warmth and comfort that guests so often seek when away from their own homes. And, environmentally conscious patrons and those with allergies will be much happier in a space with hardwood flooring. Take, for example, the Wyndham Hotel, one of the nation’s most renowned hotel and resort groups, who recently installed hardwood in their Costa Mesa hotel location, including throughout all of their guest rooms. One of the hardwoods featured prominently in this remodel was Premier Flooring Solutions’ Woodland FineLine ™ collection. The installed floors look stunning, elevating the splendor of the hotel to even greater heights than before. Premier Flooring Solutions can’t help but agree with this shift in trends—hardwood flooring indeed makes everything look and feel better.
Premier Flooring Solutions will also be featured in next month’s issue of Hospitality Architecture + Design magazine. H A+D Magazine focuses on design excellence of hotels, lodges and resorts around the world, and will be discussing hardwood flooring as the most unique and up-and-coming trend in hotel renovation. H A+D Magazine will also feature Premier Flooring Solutions’ Woodland Collection FineLine™ product line.

After the buying process has been completed, it is now up to our customers to take good care of their flooring to ensure that their investment will last them for years to come. Proper hardwood care is essential and vital in maintaining the longevity, quality and beauty of hardwood floor. Below are a few important pointers in proper hardwood flooring care.
Be Aware of Liquids: Wood is a living substance that reacts accordingly to its environment; a presence of moisture will cause wood to expand, while drier climates will cause wood to contract. Be especially careful of spilling liquids on your floors! Hardwood flooring will absorb liquid, which can cause your floors to rot or buckle over time. Some hardwood floors have water-resistant finishes, but liquids can still seep through the cracks. Remember to soak up any spilled liquids immediately.
